Here members can find some useful information and resources. At times some external links may not work and the reasons can be many. However, if you notice any of the links here are broken or are not reaching the correct intended site/s or if there is an interest in linking up other websites or areas of interest to the members in general, then please use the Contact Us form to fully describe the problem and we will try and resolve the issue as best as we can.
Social Media Presence
Facebook (Private) - A networking and social page set up by the SWRA (Orlando). A good tool to facilitate communication, interaction and sharing information. The SWRA Group page is titled "Siemens & Westinghouse Retirees". It is a CLOSED GROUP meaning that only members of the SWRA can view it. Access requires you to have your own personal Facebook account and approval by a SWRA Board member to join the group page.
How to find and join - Simply click on the Facebook Icon below (or any page Footer on this site), which will load the Facebook group page. Now make the request to join by clicking on the “join” box. Once one of the SWRA administrators authorizes, you will have access to the private group.
Useful Resources
Westinghouse SURE - This is the website of the major Pittsburgh based Westinghouse retirees group. It has over 900 member retirees from the greater Pittsburgh area's many Westinghouse sites.
SRS Retirees - This is the website of the Savannah River Project, where Westinghouse was the contractor administrator for many years. It has over 1000 members, many of which were undoubtedly Westinghouse employees.

Siemens Retiree Discounts - The following website provides access to discounts to Siemens retirees. The website can be used to access on-line discounts or local vendors that provide discounts.
One Senior Place - One Senior Place is the first and still only business of its kind… a one-stop resource office and shopping center that provides information, counseling, referrals, events, and direct access to independent providers of senior products and services… all under one roof.
Elder Law and Estate Planning (Hoyt & Bryan, LLC) - Link to - as the name suggests - a local firm that provides estate planning, which has been utilized by some SWRA Florida members.
University of Central Florida Senior Citizen Free Class Attendance - Persons 60 years of age or older, who have been Florida residents for at least one year as of the first day of classes, may enroll tuition free as audit students (i.e., no academic grade or credit). The website has all necessary information.
Community / Volunteer Opportunities
Be a Tax Aide Volunteer - Volunteer opportunities for doing free tax returns for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program. The Tax-Aide Program is now soliciting new recruits. SPAY N SAVE Animal Clinic - 988 N Ronald Reagan Blvd | Longwood FL 32750 | MISSION: To significantly reduce pet overpopulation and the killing of healthy pets by providing affordable, high quality spay and neuter services and by educating our community about responsible pet ownership. | VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: This non-profit clinic provides affordable, high quality spay / neuter services for dogs and cats. Volunteers are needed throughout the day to assist staff personnel with instrument sterilization, laundry, animal (cats / dogs) care, and other miscellaneous office tasks. We also need volunteers during fundraising events. We occasionally do trap, neuter, release programs (TNR) at feral cat colonies in the Central Florida area. Assistance and transport during these times is also needed.
