Welcome to Siemens Westinghouse Retirees Association, Inc., Florida

The Siemens & Westinghouse Retirees Association, Inc., Florida (SWRA of Florida) is made up of members who have retired or are close to retirement from the Energy businesses of Siemens Energy (formerly Siemens) and Westinghouse. Our website was established to facilitate communication and to provide information of benefit and interest to our members. We hope you find this website informative.

Member meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of January, April, July and October at 9:30 AM. Meetings include updates of association matters and typically feature a guest speaker covering topics of interest to the members.

Also planned throughout the year, including a variety of social activities (dinners, theater events, concerts, picnics, tours, golf outings, special topic meetings and much, much, more). Some are even free and the small annual dues more than cover such free events

Moments from many of these meetings and events are memorialized in pictures and may be viewed and or downloaded via the Photo Gallery.

Newsletters are generally published on a quarterly basis featuring various topics and items of interest to members; also providing highlights of recent and upcoming events. Occasionally due to time constraints, publishing may slip a few weeks. The newsletters are sent to members via emails, with the most current available for reading on this website under the newsletter tab. Most past newsletters, if not all, are also archived and made available to members upon request.

To make it convenient for all the members of our association, a Member Payments page has been included. Members have the option to pay the annual membership dues and any event specific payment electronically. At the present time digital payments (or rather transfers) will be via Zelle. We plan to add other payment methods where members may be able to use automated clearing house (commonly known as ACH), credit cards or debit cards.

UPDATE: Annual membership dues are now $20. This information was provided to all attendees during Jan-2024 General Member Meeting and members via email and newsletter broadcast thereafter.
